Psychiatrist – Longview, Washington

Aya Locums is seeking a board-certified Psychiatrist for a full-time locum tenens opportunity in Longview, Washington.

Position Details

• Start date: November 28, 2026
• Current approval through February 28, 2027
• FTE: 1.0
• Patient population: Adults
• Practice settings: Inpatient and outpatient behavioral health
• Clinic and hospital privileges required
• Locations are approximately five minutes apart
• Average volume: 12–14 patients per day
• Hospital size: 126 beds
• EMR: Epic
• Providers will work independently
• Rounding, admissions, and discharges required
• No procedures required
• Reason for opening: Coverage gap

Schedule

• Clinic days: 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., including a one-hour lunch
• Inpatient/outpatient split days:
  • Inpatient: 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
  • Clinic: 1:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m.
• Occasional 7:30 a.m. starts may be required for court appearances
• Approximately 5–7 inpatient shifts per month
• Approximately 12–19 outpatient clinic days
• Occasional night call
• Weekend coverage approximately once per quarter
• Weekend coverage consists of inpatient telepsychiatry and may be completed remotely if the provider resides in Washington

• November 30–December 2: Clinic, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• December 7–11: Inpatient mornings and clinic afternoons, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• December 14–18: Clinic, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• December 28–30: Clinic, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• January 4–8: Inpatient mornings and clinic afternoons, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• January 11–13: Clinic, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• January 18–22: Inpatient mornings and clinic afternoons, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• January 25–27: Clinic, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Additional February dates may become available once the schedule is finalized.

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Active Washington medical license in hand at the time of presentation
• IMLC candidates are not being considered due to the urgent credentialing timeline
• BLS certification
• Case list documenting at least 100 patients treated within the past 24 months
• Case list must include the diagnosis or procedure, date of service, and facility where services were performed
