Job description
A well-established addiction treatment organization with a significant number of employees and a substantial operating budget is seeking a professional to provide onsite medical leadership across its various programs.
This role is approximately 80% administrative and 20% clinical, focused on leadership, quality improvement, compliance, staff development, and supporting medical and nursing teams. The position reports directly to the Chief Medical Officer.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead medical and psychiatric services across all programs
- Supervise the Director of Nursing, APRN, APPs, and medical staff
- Partner with nursing and program leaders to ensure high-quality patient care
- Drive quality improvement and regulatory compliance initiatives
- Support clinical operations, staff development, and best practices
- Collaborate closely with the Chief Medical Officer on strategic and operational priorities
- Serve as a visible onsite physician leader for staff and programs
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Board Certified Addiction Psychiatrist
- State medical license (or ability to obtain)
- DEA registration
- Leadership experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, or integrated care
- Methadone/OTP experience is a plus
