Practice independently in a collaborative behavioral health environment while caring for adult patients across both clinic and hospital settings. With a structured weekday schedule, optional night call, and a combination of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, this assignment is ideal for psychiatrists seeking a dynamic locum opportunity with excellent work-life balance.
Job Responsibilities
• Deliver care in both outpatient clinic and inpatient behavioral health settings.
• Perform patient rounding, admissions, and discharge management.
• Independently manage an average of 12–14 patients per day.
• Document patient encounters using Epic EMR.
Qualifications
• Active Washington medical license required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience.
• BLS certification required.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Documentation of 100 representative psychiatric patient cases from the previous 24 months, including diagnosis or procedure, date, and facility.
• COVID-19 vaccination required (no exemptions).
Working Hours
• Inpatient/Outpatient split days: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM inpatient, 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM clinic
• Occasional 7:30 AM start for court-related responsibilities
• Optional night call
• Approximately 5–7 inpatient shifts per month and 12–19 outpatient clinic days
• Weekend inpatient telepsychiatry coverage approximately once per quarter
