She Recruits is partnering with a well-established Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Nassau County, New York, to recruit a compassionate and dedicated Psychiatrist to join its collaborative behavioral health team.

Position Highlights
Full-time outpatient Psychiatry position
Care for both adult and school-age patients
Integrated community healthcare setting
One clinical site per day, split between two Nassau County locations
Strong administrative and behavioral health support
Opportunity to participate in quality improvement and clinical education initiatives
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment planning
Provide medication management and ongoing psychiatric care
Order, interpret, and manage appropriate diagnostic and laboratory testing
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and wellness strategies
Collaborate closely with primary care providers, behavioral health clinicians, and specialists to ensure coordinated care
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation within the electronic health record
Participate in peer review, continuing education, and quality improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, regulatory, and billing requirements
Travel reliably between two Nassau County clinical locations (one site per day)
Participate in on-call and emergency psychiatric coverage as required
Qualifications
Required
MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Board Certified in Psychiatry
Active New York medical license
National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Healthcare Provider CPR/AED Certification
Completion of required Continuing Medical Education (24 CME credits per credentialing cycle)
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party billing requirements
Familiarity with federal and New York State regulatory standards
Ability to travel reliably between two clinical sites
Preferred
Active Medicaid enrollment
Experience working within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or community health center
Experience caring for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Child & Adolescent Psychiatry experience
Geriatric Psychiatry experience
Experience using eClinicalWorks (eCW) or similar Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
