A secure healthcare organization in Philadelphia is seeking a full-time Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive psychiatric care within a correctional setting.
This opportunity offers a competitive annual salary of $240,000–$300,000 and the ability to make a meaningful clinical impact among an underserved patient population. The psychiatrist will work onsite alongside an established multidisciplinary healthcare team, providing evaluations, medication management, crisis intervention, and ongoing treatment.

Job Responsibilities
Develop and manage individualized psychiatric treatment plans
Provide psychopharmacology and medication-management services
Evaluate patients experiencing acute psychiatric symptoms or behavioral crises
Provide crisis intervention and determine the appropriate level of psychiatric care
Monitor treatment response, medication effectiveness, and potential side effects
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, therapists, social workers, and facility leadership
Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning and clinical case reviews
Maintain accurate, timely, and legally compliant clinical documentation
Support continuity of care, discharge planning, and referrals to appropriate services
Provide scheduled psychiatric coverage and consultation as required
Follow all clinical, regulatory, confidentiality, safety, and facility-security requirements
Qualifications
Completion of an accredited psychiatry residency program
Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry
Active, unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license
Active DEA registration
Ability to obtain and maintain facility security clearance
Strong psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and medication-management skills
Experience in correctional, forensic, inpatient, outpatient, emergency, or high-acuity behavioral health settings is preferred
Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team in a structured clinical environment
Commitment to providing respectful, evidence-based care to underserved populations
