Inpatient Psychiatry Locum Opportunity – Arizona
We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist for an ongoing Inpatient Psychiatry locum opportunity in Arizona. This assignment offers a collaborative practice environment, scheduled blocks of coverage, and the opportunity for ongoing work.
Position Highlights
- Ongoing assignment
- 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Overnight call required on approximately 50% of days worked
- 30-day credentialing
- Cerner EMR
Current Coverage Needs
- September 16–19 & September 24–27
- October 9–11
- November 23–29
Practice Setting
- Inpatient Psychiatry
- 17-bed adult unit
- 9-bed adolescent unit (ages 13–17)
- Patient population is approximately 75% adult and 25% adolescent
- Average length of stay: 7 days
- Two psychiatrists on shift at all times, providing a collaborative care environment
Responsibilities
- Inpatient psychiatric evaluations and treatment
- Medication management
- Daily rounding and patient care
- Coordination with multidisciplinary treatment teams
- Shared overnight call coverage
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Active Arizona medical license or active IMLC Letter of Qualification (LOQ)
- Active DEA
- Minimum of 1 year of inpatient psychiatry experience
