Psychiatrist

Join a well-established department looking to grow their Consult Liaison (C/L) service, covering the med surg unit (160-170 beds) and assist in a new med/psych unit that will be opening in the future (will be 8 beds).

• Will only cover med/surg, NOT the ED.

• Work with a PGY2 or PGY4 resident at all times as well as a PsychNP on occasion.
• Patient volume of approximately 3 new consults per day, ongoing management of 3-4 patients already admitted to med-surg.
• Mon-Fri schedule 9am-5pm with no nights, evenings, weekends, or call (call covered by residents or attendings on call on weekends, won't apply to C/L).
• Could also provide psychotherapy oversight for residents if interested.

Full-time position with competitive compensation, benefits, student loan repayment of $120k over 3 years, and malpractice coverage.

Requirements

• Active NY License.
• Fellowship Training in C/L Psychiatry.
• Board Eligibility or Board Certification Required.
• New residents graduating in the next 12 months encouraged to apply!
