Psychiatrist

Join WCS Healthcare Partners in the Greater NYC area as an outpatient psychiatrist, stepping in due to a pending retirement. Become part of a dynamic outpatient department consisting of seven adult psychiatrists and one child psychiatrist. This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a prestigious academic institution with the newest medical school in NY, providing a hybrid work model that enhances patient compliance and appointment adherence.

Responsibilities

• Enjoy a hybrid schedule with two days onsite and three days working from home. A four-day work week may also be considered.
• Focus on adult care, conducting 15-minute medication management appointments and one-hour new patient evaluations.
• Expect to see 1-2 new patients per day, with therapy services available on site.
• Work in a clinically rich environment, primarily serving Medicare/Medicaid patients facing various economic pressures and social determinants.
• Utilize the EPIC EMR system.
• No call required, as all emergencies are managed by on-call services and hospital psychiatrists.
• Engage in an academic environment, typically with 3-4 PGY3 residents in the clinic, offering opportunities to teach if desired.
• Flexible Monday to Friday schedule with start times between 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm. No call, evening, or weekend hours required.

Requirements

• Active NY License.
• Residency training in Psychiatry, with consideration for subspecialists in Geriatric, Forensic, Consultation-Liaison, or Addiction Psychiatry.
