Job description
We are seeking a Psychiatrist for a locum tenens position in San Francisco, CA. This opportunity focuses on the inpatient psychiatric care of adolescent patients. Please see below for more information.
Job Responsibilities
Administer and manage psychiatric medications, including psychopharmacology, in children and adolescents
Develop comprehensive, individualized treatment plans
Apply psychotherapeutic modalities as part of patient care
Manage challenging behaviors in adolescent patients
Incorporate adolescent development and family systems into treatment
Lead multidisciplinary teams and provide supervision
Qualifications
Active California medical license
DEA registration with Schedule II/IIN authority
BLS certification (AHA)
Working Hours
Weekends: 6 hours of rounding beginning at 8a, followed by on-call coverage until 8a the following day
On-call required (night call Monday/Tuesday; 24-hour coverage plus rounding on weekends)
