Job description
We are seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist for inpatient locum coverage in New York. This role offers weekday inpatient psychiatry coverage with limited call responsibilities in a collaborative hospital setting.
Assignment Details:
- Start: July 2026
- Ongoing coverage
- Inpatient psychiatry unit
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- 1–2 weekends per month required
- At least one weeknight of phone call coverage required
Practice Setting:
- Hospital-based inpatient psychiatry
- 14-bed inpatient unit
- EMR: Epic
Work Details:
- Inpatient psychiatric evaluations and management
- Daily rounding and treatment planning
- Collaborative care with APP support
Team Structure:
- 1–2 Nurse Practitioners onsite
- Locum physician functions as primary psychiatrist on unit
Requirements:
- Board Certified Psychiatrist
- Active New York license required
