Position Highlights
* Academic appointment with affiliated medical school
* Hybrid inpatient + outpatient practice
* Monday–Friday schedule (8 AM – 5 PM)
* Phone-only call with residents taking first call

* Work across:
* Large academic medical center
* New 144-bed behavioral health hospital
* Dedicated focus on women’s behavioral health and perinatal psychiatry
* Expanding multidisciplinary behavioral health services

Clinical Responsibilities
* Inpatient care includes:
* Consults for emergency department
* Labor & delivery unit
* Behavioral health unit
* Outpatient care includes:
* Behavioral health clinics
* OB/GYN clinics for prenatal and perinatal patients
* Medication management and consultative care across women’s health settings

Clinical Support
* Collaborative team includes:
* Psychiatrists and residents
* OB/GYN specialists
* Addiction-trained liaison support
* Integrated academic and clinical environment
* Large regional referral network

Academic Responsibilities
* Teach medical students
* Supervise psychiatry residents
* Participate in scholarly and program development activities

Qualifications
* MD or DO
* Completion of:
* Psychiatry residency or OB/GYN residency
* Fellowship training in Perinatal or Reproductive Psychiatry
* Board Certified / Board Eligible
* Eligible for North Carolina medical licensure
