This West Florida medical center is seeking a board certified experienced Geriatric Psychiatrist to head up our new geriatric program. Candidates with 2-3 years of experience are preferred. This would be an employed opportunity which will allow you all the flexibility of not having to manage a practice.
Highlights:
In-patient /out patient or In-patient only opportunities
Responsible for overseeing programs
Call: 1 day per week M-F, cross coverage on week-ends
2500 psych admissions per year
Cover admissions and ED
4 physicians currently on staff
Baker-act receiving unit
ECT proficiency a plus
Interest in building a geriatric program
Adult population – 18 years and older
Unit is 5 miles remote from medical/surgical campus
46 beds organized into 3 units – 10 bed intensive care, 14 bed intermediate unit, 22 bed general psych . Additional 16 beds will be added in 2017
Located in beautiful Trinity, Florida, this growing community is home to newly constructed homes, "A" rated schools and shopping centers. Pasco County also boasts as the 45 fastest growing county in the US. You will have a short 30-minute drive to downtown Tampa and the airport. Clearwater beach is a 30-minute drive, but smaller family beaches can be found within a seven mile reach!
