Job Title: Psychiatrist – Geriatric Focus (Collaborative Agreements)

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist licensed in Pennsylvania to provide high-quality psychiatric care to geriatric patients across a variety of clinical settings.
In addition to direct patient care, this position will serve as a collaborating psychiatrist for nurse practitioners and physician assistants under Pennsylvania’s collaborative agreement regulations. The role combines clinical leadership, supervision, and interdisciplinary teamwork, ensuring compassionate, evidence-based behavioral health care for older adults.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and treatment planning for geriatric patients (typically age 60+).
- Provide ongoing supervision and collaborative oversight for psychiatric NPs and/or PAs, in compliance with Pennsylvania Board of Medicine and Board of Nursing requirements.
- Maintain and review collaborative agreements, ensuring availability for consultation per legal and organizational policy.
- Work closely with primary care providers, social workers, therapists, and nursing staff to coordinate and optimize patient care.
- Participate in case reviews, quality improvement initiatives, and interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Ensure timely and accurate clinical documentation within the EMR system.
- Stay current on developments in geriatric psychiatry, psychopharmacology, and collaborative supervision best practices.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency; Geriatric Psychiatry fellowship preferred but not required.
- Active, unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license and DEA registration in good standing.
- Experience treating geriatric and/or adult populations in outpatient, inpatient, or long-term care settings.
- Prior experience holding collaborative agreements with advanced practice providers strongly preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
