An academic-affiliated Hospital in eastern Massachusetts is adding a Geriatric Psychiatry Physician due to growth.
About the Opportunity:
- 100% Inpatient
- Join one other Psychiatrist and one APRN
- The position is open to a general Psychiatrist or Geriatric Psychiatrist
- Cases include: Geriatric Psychiatry, Dementia, adult cases, depression and anxiety
- Re-envisioning geriatric psychiatry in the system
- Option to do consults however not required
- We are opening the 21-bed unit to adult inpatients in addition to geriatric patients
- The expected daily patient census is 10. Bonuses for seeing additional patients
- This is a Med/Psych unit so there is a medical service to co-manage patients and treat medical presentation
- Call is not required and is paid additionally
- Medical Student Teaching. Residents rotate through all inpatient units
- Flexible dayshift
