Job title: Medical Director (Psychiatrist)
Specialty: Psychiatry, Forensic experience preferred; 98% administrative
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 4or 5 days per week, 40 per week

Job Responsibilities
Serves as a frontline supervisor, including union, non-union, and contractual staff.
Serves as manager of medical program operations
Performs incident Investigation and reporting
Serves as facility expert on mental health laws, regulations, and trends.
Represents medical services and programs.
Administers all medical, psychiatric, nursing, social service, and psychological treatment provided to both forensic and civil recipients on all units of the Center.
Develops policies and procedures for all program areas in accordance with departmental policies, the mental health code, and various accreditation and certification bodies.
Directs the implementation of services.
Qualifications
Current unrestricted DEA certificate
Specialty: Psychiatry and Neurology
**** Board-certified Psychiatry. (ABNP)
Experience working with psychiatric/mental health patients.
Team Leadership experience
Basic knowledge of JACHO and its standards for accreditation.
Knowledge of Illinois Policies regarding forensic mental health standards preferred
