Due to the continued demand for behavioral health services within the medical group and at the hospital, and the pending departure of one of the psychiatrists, the group is looking to add a psychiatrist. The new psychiatrist will be required to provide both inpatient and outpatient services and, ideally, will provide outpatient services at two offices. The need is for someone to provide general adult services, but subspecialty interests are certainly welcomed, especially in child and adolescent, geriatrics, addiction, and/or consult liaison, to name a few. Call will be 1 in 6. Our psychiatric inpatient unit is a 22-bed locked unit. Fourteen of those beds are for general adult, while eight of those beds are dedicated to geriatrics. There are also two seclusion rooms on the unit. The staff also includes three psychologists, four social workers, and 20+ therapists. The average length of stay for seniors is 12 days, and five days for general adults. An excellent two-year guaranteed salary will be offered with an incentive formula available from day one.
