Job description
Full-time locum tenens opportunity for a Pediatric Psychiatrist on the inpatient Consult & Liaison service and Integrated Med Psych Unit at a children's medical center in Hartford, CT. No call.
- Children's hospital with Level I-IV pediatric trauma designation
- Consult service 5-15 patients per day; Integrated Med Psych Unit 4-10 per day
- Always paired with psychology or a PMHNP; oversee residents and fellows on the consult service
- Patient population ages 3-21 (primarily 6-18)
- CT or IMLC licensure preferred; privileging typically 3-4 months
Job Responsibilities
• Consult service: 5-15 patients per day; Integrated Med Psych Unit: 4-10 patients per day
• Supervise residents/fellows on the consult service; paired with psychology or a PMHNP
• Patient population ages 3-21 (primarily 6-18); no call
Qualifications
• At least 1-3 years of inpatient psychiatry or Psych ED experience
• Connecticut license heavily preferred, or IMLC licensure; will license
• DEA required
