Job description
Part-time locum tenens opportunity for a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist in the Psychiatric Emergency Department at a children's medical center in Hartford, CT. Flexible scheduling and no call.
- Children's hospital and Level I-IV pediatric trauma designation
- Pediatric and adolescent patients ages 3-21
- Always paired with a PMHNP; rarely more than 10 patients per day
- Flexible 8-hour day and weekend shifts
- CT or IMLC licensure; privileging typically 3-4 months
Job Responsibilities
• Typically 8-hour shifts (8a-4:30p) with some scheduling flexibility; no call
• Paired with a PMHNP; rarely more than 10 patients on any given day
• Telepsychiatry only in very rare circumstances
Qualifications
• At least 1-3 years of inpatient psychiatry or Psych ED experience
• Connecticut license heavily preferred, or IMLC licensure; will license
• DEA required
