Job description
Part-time locum tenens opportunity for a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at an acute care hospital in San Francisco, CA. Weekend coverage plus Monday/Tuesday, or two weeks of full-time weekday coverage, with call. California-resident providers only.
- Acute care hospital affiliated with UCSF Health
- Adolescent inpatient population; 6-12 patients per day
- Epic charting
- Multidisciplinary team collaboration
- Public transportation (BART shuttles) available
Job Responsibilities
• Weekends: approx. 6 hours of rounding starting at 8am, then on call until 8am the next day
• Monday/Tuesday: 8a-5p on site, then night call until 8a, including placing admission orders
• Develop comprehensive, individualized treatment plans and collaborate with multidisciplinary team and families
• Manage psychiatric medications and challenging behaviors in adolescent patients; see 6-12 patients per day
Qualifications
• Active California license; facility will only consider providers living in CA
• California DEA with Schedule 2/2n required
• BLS (AHA) required
• Strong foundation in psychopharmacology and psychotherapies; experience with children and adolescents
• Epic charting experience
