Job description
Aya Healthcare is seeking a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist for a part-time locum tenens opportunity covering the Psychiatric Emergency Department at Connecticut Children's Medical Center in Hartford, CT. Start date January 2027.
- Children's hospital and Level I-IV pediatric trauma designation
- Pediatric and adolescent patients ages 3-21 (primarily 6-18)
- Always paired with a PMHNP; rarely more than 10 patients per day
- No call requirements
- Flexible part-time scheduling
Job Responsibilities
• Work alongside a PMHNP partner; typically no more than 10 patients per day
• Evaluate and manage acute psychiatric presentations in the Psych ED
• No call requirements
Qualifications
• At least 1-3 years of inpatient psychiatry or Psych ED experience
• Connecticut license preferred; IMLC license accepted (will license)
• DEA required
• Minimum 1 year of experience
