Aya Healthcare is seeking a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist for a locum tenens assignment at an acute care hospital in San Francisco, CA, with two weeks of full-time weekday coverage plus weekend call.
- Acute care hospital serving adolescent patients (approx. 6-12 patients per day)
- Weekday on-site coverage with night call, plus weekend rounding and 24-hour call
- Collaborative multidisciplinary team environment
- Epic charting system
- Facility considers only providers living in California
Job Responsibilities
• Weekend rounding (approx. 6 hours) with 24-hour call; Monday/Tuesday on-site 8a-5p with night call
• Place admission orders for patients arriving during night call
• Manage psychiatric medications and treatment plans for adolescents
• Lead the multidisciplinary team and collaborate with parents/guardians
Qualifications
• California license required (facility will only consider providers living in CA)
• California DEA with Schedule 2/2n required; BLS (AHA) required
• Experience administering psychiatric medications to children and adolescents
• Strong foundation in adolescent development, family systems, and de-escalation techniques
