Our client is preparing to open a new adolescent inpatient psychiatric unit in St. Augustine, Florida, and is seeking an experienced Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to support the launch and early growth of the program.
This new adolescent-only inpatient program is scheduled to open at the end of October and will begin with a gradual census ramp, expected to reach approximately 8 patients by year-end.
The position offers flexibility for either part-time morning coverage or a full-time schedule, depending on physician preference and program needs.

Job Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and treatment for adolescent inpatients
Develop and manage psychiatric medication plans
Participate in individualized treatment planning
Support admissions, discharges, and clinical documentation
Collaborate with nursing, therapy, case management, and facility leadership
Provide clinical guidance regarding adolescent psychiatric care
Monitor patient progress and support discharge planning
Maintain clinical quality, patient safety, documentation, and regulatory standards
Contribute to the successful launch and early development of the program
Qualifications
MD or DO
Psychiatry training
Child & Adolescent Psychiatry experience required
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry preferred
Adolescent inpatient psychiatry experience strongly preferred
Florida medical license preferred, or willingness to obtain
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
Comfortable working within a multidisciplinary inpatient environment
Willingness to participate in a new and developing clinical program
