Client is preparing to open a new adolescent inpatient unit in St. Augustine, Florida, and is seeking an experienced Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to support the launch and early growth of the program.
The unit is designed as a smaller adolescent inpatient program with a gradual census ramp. The census is expected to reach approximately 8 adolescent patients by the end of the year, providing an opportunity for a psychiatrist to become involved in a new program without immediately managing a high-volume patient population.
The position can be structured as either part-time morning coverage or a full-time role, depending on candidate interest and program needs.
The Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist will provide psychiatric evaluation, treatment, medication management, and clinical leadership for adolescent inpatient patients.

Job Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and treatment for adolescent inpatient patients.
Develop and manage psychiatric medication plans and support ongoing clinical stabilization.
Participate in individualized treatment planning with the interdisciplinary care team.
Support admissions, discharges, documentation, and clinical decision-making.
Collaborate with nursing, therapy, case management, and facility leadership.
Provide clinical guidance related to adolescent psychiatric care.
Help support the successful launch, development, and early growth of the new adolescent inpatient unit.
Maintain high standards for clinical quality, patient safety, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team regarding patient progress, treatment needs, and discharge planning.
Qualifications
MD or DO with training in Psychiatry.
Child & Adolescent Psychiatry experience required.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry preferred.
Florida medical license preferred, or ability and willingness to obtain one.
Experience in adolescent inpatient psychiatry strongly preferred.
Strong clinical judgment and understanding of adolescent psychiatric care.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary treatment environment.
Comfortable joining a new or developing clinical program.
Willingness to consider either part-time morning coverage or a full-time schedule.
Professional, dependable, and comfortable working within a gradual census ramp.
