Job description
The physician will work in a multidisciplinary behavioral health environment providing direct psychiatric care and clinical leadership across adult inpatient psychiatry, detox, and residential services. The program is initially operating with a gradual census ramp, creating an opportunity for the Medical Director to help establish clinical workflows, quality standards, and care processes as the program grows.
The role involves collaboration with nursing, therapists, case management, operations, and facility leadership. The environment is suited to a psychiatrist who enjoys a combination of hands-on patient care, clinical oversight, physician leadership, and program development.

Job Responsibilities
Serve as Medical Director for adult behavioral health services
Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and stabilization
Provide care across inpatient, detox, and residential programs
Participate in admissions, discharges, treatment planning, and clinical reviews
Provide clinical oversight and guidance to the psychiatric program
Establish and maintain clinical standards, workflows, and treatment processes
Collaborate with nursing, therapy, case management, and facility leadership
Support quality improvement and clinical performance initiatives
Assist with census growth and program development
Maintain appropriate clinical documentation and regulatory compliance
Qualifications
MD or DO
Completed Psychiatry residency training
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
Colorado medical license preferred, or ability to obtain
Strong adult inpatient psychiatry experience preferred
Prior Medical Director, Associate Medical Director, Chief Psychiatrist, or senior attending experience preferred
Experience with detox, residential behavioral health, dual diagnosis, or substance-use populations is a plus
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
Comfortable working in a developing program with an initially lower census
Interest in both clinical care and physician leadership
