We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to provide high-quality inpatient psychiatric care for children and adolescents in a collaborative, multidisciplinary treatment environment. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of psychiatric conditions in children and adolescents
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Manage psychotropic medications and monitor treatment progress
- Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings
- Collaborate with therapists, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals
- Provide family education and support throughout the treatment process
- Assist with discharge planning and continuity of care
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency program
- Fellowship training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
- Active Louisiana medical license or ability to obtain
- Inpatient psychiatric experience preferred
