The provider will work primarily in the outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic and may occasionally provide psychiatric consultation services for the inpatient medical unit. A hybrid schedule is available, with at least 50% of work performed onsite.
An outpatient Child & Adolescent Psychiatry locum tenens opportunity is available with an acute care hospital-affiliated Behavioral Health Clinic in the Central Oklahoma region. This assignment focuses on providing psychiatric care for pediatric and adolescent patients, including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, medication management, therapy services, and ongoing psychiatric support.
The provider will work primarily in the outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic and may occasionally provide psychiatric consultation services for the inpatient medical unit. A hybrid schedule is available, with at least 50% of work performed onsite.
This position offers a one-year contract with four one-year option periods and the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary behavioral health environment supporting pediatric and adolescent patients.

Job Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat children, adolescents, and family members with mental health conditions.
Provide psychopharmacology services, therapy services, or both, as appropriate.
Complete a minimum of eight patient encounters per clinic day.
Manage a typical patient volume of approximately 12-16 patients per day.
Provide psychiatric consultations to Behavioral Health, Primary Care, and other clinical staff.
Occasionally provide consultation services for the inpatient medical unit.
Deliver child psychiatry consultation and in-service training for Behavioral Health and other providers.
Provide consultation to community child-serving agencies regarding developmental and mental health screening, prevention, and enrichment services.
Coordinate care with therapy, social work, and other clinical services.
Document patient encounters within the electronic health record.
Address adverse childhood experiences during or shortly after pediatric clinic visits.
Provide ongoing psychiatric support and follow-up care for pediatric and adolescent patients.
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
Successful completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency program.
Child and Adolescent Psychiatry training and experience required.
Permanent, current, and unrestricted medical license to practice medicine in the United States.
Oklahoma license required for assignment placement.
Current DEA license required.
State CDS license required if applicable.
BLS certification required.
Minimum of five years of post-residency work experience.
Minimum of two years of experience working with pediatric patients.
Must be eligible for medical staff membership and facility credentialing.
Must provide at least three recent professional references.
Must complete credentialing, privileging, fingerprinting, background investigation, and other required onboarding documentation.
Must maintain professional liability insurance coverage of $1 million per occurrence and $3 million aggregate.

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
One-hour lunch included
Federal holidays excluded

Full-time preferred
Part-time may be considered
Hybrid schedule available with a minimum of 50% onsite coverage
Contract Length:
One year with four optional one-year extensions
