Job description
We are seeking a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist for a permanent position in Olathe, Kansas, in the Kansas City metro area. This role is based on an acute inpatient child and adolescent unit within a non-profit, private free-standing psychiatric hospital. Please see below for more information.
- Acute inpatient child and adolescent unit
- Non-profit, private free-standing psychiatric hospital
- 24/7 onsite nursing, with primary care physicians, laboratory, and pharmacy services on site
- PMHNP available to assist with caseload; NP supervision is optional
- Full-time, onsite position with W2 or 1099 options
- WellSky EMR
Job Responsibilities
Carry a daily caseload of up to 16 patients, with up to 3 admissions per day
Complete admission assessments, treatment planning, and discharge planning
Manage psychopharmacologic treatment and monitor response throughout admission
Coordinate care with nursing, direct care staff, and onsite medical services
Collaborate with a PMHNP on caseload management
Provide weekend on-call coverage and rounding one weekend per month
