Job description
We are seeking a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist for a locum tenens position in San Francisco, California. This is an inpatient adolescent psychiatry opportunity with scheduled and on-call coverage. Please see below for more information.

Job Responsibilities
Manage a daily patient load of approximately 6-12 patients
Deliver psychopharmacologic management and psychotherapeutic treatment across psychiatric diagnoses and treatment modalities
Administer and manage psychiatric medications in child and adolescent patients
Develop comprehensive, individualized treatment plans grounded in adolescent development and family systems, in collaboration with parents/guardians and the multidisciplinary team
Manage challenging behaviors in adolescent patients using therapeutic interventions and de-escalation techniques
Lead the multidisciplinary team, oversee patient care, and provide guidance and supervision to other healthcare professionals
Practice in accordance with legal frameworks, educational provisions, and safeguarding protocols relevant to adolescent patients
Qualifications
Active California medical license required
Candidates must reside in California; the facility will only consider California-resident providers
Working Hours
Weekends: approximately 6 hours of rounding beginning at 8:00 a.m.; on call following rounding until 8:00 a.m. the following day
Night call responsibilities include placing admission orders for accepted patients arriving during the shift
Scheduled coverage plus on call required
