Job description
We are seeking a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist for a locum tenens position in San Francisco, California. This is an acute care hospital opportunity treating an adolescent patient population. Please see below for more information.
- Epic EMR
Job Responsibilities
• Round on assigned patients and manage ongoing treatment plans
• Manage psychiatric medications in children and adolescents
• Apply psychopharmacology and psychotherapeutic modalities in patient care
• Manage challenging behaviors using therapeutic interventions and de-escalation techniques
• Provide night call and weekend call coverage, including call-back response
Qualifications
• Active California medical license
• California DEA with Schedule II/IIN authority
• BLS (AHA)
Working Hours
Night call following weekday shifts until 8:00 AM
Weekend coverage: approximately 6 hours of rounding beginning at 8:00 AM, followed by call until 8:00 AM the following day
24-hour weekend call coverage required
