We are seeking a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist for a locum tenens position in San Francisco, CA. This is an inpatient adolescent psychiatry opportunity at an acute care hospital. Please see below for more information.

- Adolescent inpatient psychiatry/behavioral health setting
- EMR: Epic
Job Responsibilities
Administer and manage psychiatric medications in children and adolescents, applying psychopharmacology and various psychotherapy modalities
Develop comprehensive, individualized treatment plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and parents/guardians
Manage challenging behaviors in adolescent patients using therapeutic interventions and de-escalation techniques
Lead the multidisciplinary team, overseeing patient care and providing guidance to other clinicians
Place admission orders for patients arriving during the assigned shift
Qualifications
Active California medical license
California DEA registration with Schedule II/IIN
BLS certification
Working Hours
Monday/Tuesday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM on site, followed by night call until 8:00 AM
Weekends: approximately 6 hours of rounding beginning at 8:00 AM, then on call until 8:00 AM the following day
On-call required
