We are seeking a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist for a locum tenens position in San Francisco, California. This is an inpatient opportunity providing on-site coverage and rounding for an adolescent patient population, with admissions responsibilities during call. Please see below for more information.
- EMR: Epic
Job Responsibilities
- Administer and manage psychiatric medications in children and adolescents, including psychopharmacology and psychotherapeutic modalities
- Perform rounding and provide on-site coverage during scheduled shifts
- Enter admission orders for arriving patients during call
- Coordinate care within a collaborative, multidisciplinary therapeutic team
- Apply relevant legal, educational, and safeguarding protocols in the care of adolescent patients
Qualifications
- Active California medical license
Working Hours
- Weekends: 6 hours of rounding beginning at 8:00a, then on call until 8:00a the following day
- Night call (Mon/Tues) includes admission orders for arriving patients
- Weekend coverage is 24-hour plus rounding
