Position Overview
A Child & Adolescent Outpatient Psychiatrist opportunity is available within a community behavioral health setting serving children and adolescents in Madera, CA. This position offers a flexible outpatient schedule, strong multidisciplinary support, and the opportunity to provide meaningful psychiatric care to youth and families within a collaborative public-sector environment.
Child Outpatient Services
- Child & Adolescent outpatient psychiatry
- Monday–Friday schedule
- 30–40 hours per week
- Flexible scheduling between 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Outpatient community mental health setting
- Psychiatric evaluations and medication management
- Ongoing follow-up care for children and adolescents
- Collaborative multidisciplinary treatment team

- EMR documentation required

Job Responsibilities
Conduct psychiatric evaluations for child and adolescent patients
Provide medication management and treatment planning
Deliver ongoing outpatient psychiatric care
Collaborate with therapists, case managers, nursing staff, and family support teams
Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
Participate in treatment planning and continuity of care initiatives
Support patient stabilization and long-term wellness goals
Coordinate care with families, schools, and community providers as appropriate
Qualifications
MD or DO required
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
Child & Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship preferred
Active California medical license preferred
DEA required
Experience in child/adolescent outpatient psychiatry preferred
Strong communication and collaborative care skills
Experience working within multidisciplinary teams highly valued
Working Hours
Monday–Friday
30–40 hours per week
Flexible scheduling between 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
