- Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team.
DFWPMA is a fully integrated multidisciplinary Behavioral health practice.
This position is supported by in same office Psychologist, Licensed Behavioral Health, TMS ( FDA Approved ages 14+) - This position has the opportunity to serve dual locations but is not mandatory ( Frisco, Texas 2 days a week & Sherman Texas 2 days a week )
- Opportunity:
• Outpatient only with flexibility to take inpatient call if desired.
• 4 day week with flexible hours (7-3, 8-4, 9-5, etc.).
Up to $460,000 base salary + productivity and quality bonuses.

The successful candidate will provide expert care to patients experiencing mental health disorders. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating a range of psychiatric conditions while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive mental health care.

Practice Details

Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose mental health disorders through clinical evaluations, interviews, and patient histories.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including therapy, medication, and lifestyle modifications.
- Prescribe and manage medications to treat psychiatric conditions.
- Provide psychotherapy, counseling, and crisis intervention as needed.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments to optimize outcomes.
- Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with confidentiality and legal standards.
- Stay current with advancements in psychiatry to deliver state-of-the-art care.
- Participate in staff training, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.
- Valid medical license to practice in Texas.
- Strong knowledge of psychiatric disorders, treatment modalities, and psychopharmacology.
- Excellent diagnostic and decision-making skills.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Subspecialty training or certification in areas such as child and adolescent psychiatry.
