Location: Bangor, Maine
Setting: Inpatient | 50-bed Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Unit
Start: February 23, 2026
Duration: Ongoing
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00–4:30 | No call, nights, weekends, or holidays
Opportunity Overview
Facility in Bangor, ME seeks a BE/BC Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist for a full-time inpatient locum assignment. Join a strong multidisciplinary team on a 50-bed unit with a typical census of 46–48 patients.
Clinical Details
- Caseload: 9–10 patients/day (up to 12–13 during cross-coverage)
- Average Length of Stay: 17 days
- Daily Unit Census: 34
- No admissions, no outpatient duties
- EMR: Cerner
- Support staff: RNs, MAs, NPs/PAs, office team
- No APP or resident supervision
Requirements
- BC/BE in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
- 60–90 day credentialing
- No temporary privileges
- Experience with anxiety, mood, psychotic, developmental, eating, and personality disorders
