TAG MedStaffing is hiring an Outpatient Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist in Staten Island, NY with our client. In this full-time role, you will perform psychiatric evaluations, manage medications, and create treatment plans for children and adolescents with complex behavioral and mental health conditions. You’ll collaborate with therapists, counselors, and families to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while mentoring residents in a supportive outpatient environment.

Responsibilities as the Outpatient Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist:
- Patient Care: Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and ongoing medication management for children and adolescents.
- Treatment Planning: Develop individualized care plans based on each patient’s psychiatric and developmental needs.
- Collaboration: Work closely with therapists, families, and care teams to ensure coordinated, patient-centered treatment.
- Medication Management: Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, ensuring safe and effective dosing.
- Supervision & Teaching: Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to residents and trainees.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely records in Meditech EMR, meeting all regulatory and quality standards.
- Education: Completion of an accredited Psychiatry Residency and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship required.
- Licensure: Active New York State medical license or eligibility for licensure required.
- Certification: Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (Board Eligible candidates may be considered); BCLS and PALS certifications required, ACLS optional.
- Experience: 2-5+ years of clinical experience working with children and adolescents in outpatient, acute, or community mental health settings.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with electronic medical records (Meditech preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook).
- Skills & Attributes: Compassionate, collaborative, and detail-oriented professional with strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and dedication to patient-centered care.
