  • Patient Volume: Up to 16 patients per month

  • Support Staff: Two onsite behavioral health clinicians, onsite residential care counselors, medication room run by RN

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct counseling sessions with children, adolescents, and their family members.
• Address issues such as ADHD, anxiety, Tourette’s Syndrome, and eating disorders.
• Diagnose mental and affective conditions.
• Develop treatment plans, including therapies, counseling, and appropriate psychiatric medication.
• Assist patients in coping with difficult situations.
• Educate family members or guardians on supporting patients.
• Consult with social services and court systems.
• Engage in continuing education activities.

Qualifications

• Medical degree in child psychiatry with successful completion of residency and fellowship.
• Certification in general psychiatry and licensure in child psychiatry.
• Knowledge of and experience in clinical skills.
• Empathetic nature with excellent listening and communication skills.
• Ability to work under intense pressure and respond to difficult questions.
• Strong note-taking and record-keeping skills.

Working Hours

20 hours (flexible, including weekends)
