Qualifications

*A medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited school of medicine and Board Certified (preferred) or Board Eligible.
*Completion of accredited psychiatric residency program.
*One year experience (pediatric, consult, adult, geriatric or forensic) as a psychiatrist in a mental health clinic, correctional facility, or inpatient psychiatric hospital.
*Strong diagnostic skills and proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with patients, families, and the treatment team.
*Ability to work independently and make clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
*Understanding of and adherence to relevant ethical and legal standards.
*A valid license to practice medicine or osteopathic medicine and surgery in Michigan.
*Must possess a Drug Enforcement Administrative (DEA) license to prescribe controlled substances.
*Must possess a Michigan Controlled Substance License.
*Pediatric Psychiatrist needs to be specialized in pediatric care at WRPH. Additional education and experience for pediatric psychiatrists includes:
*Completion of an accredited child psychiatry residency.
*Be board certified or board eligible
