Need: 1 PTE Adolescent Psychiatrist Overview Working hours: 10 hours a week
Adolescent Psychiatrist to work with male youth between the ages of twelve (12) to twenty-one (21) who are transitioning from a secure facility to a level three, Group Home, to provide continuity of care
Be responsible for working with adolescents to provide medication management and clinical consultation to reduce the need to utilize alternate community-based resources. The following specifications are required of any resume submitted for review and consideration:
· Experience working with children and adolescent youth.
· Experience working with youth with a Serious Mental Illness (SMI).
· Experience prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medication(s).
· Licensed as an Adolescent/Child Psychiatrist in the state of South Carolina.

Medication Management
|
Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medication for youth, as deemed medically necessary. Initial Assessment to be conducted within seven (7) business days of admission followed by monthly clinical consultation.

Psychiatrist will conduct a virtual assessment of each youth within seven (7) business days of admission into the program. If prescribed medication, assess the youth’s response to prescribed medication and adjust as deemed medically necessary.

Clinical Consultation
|
Participate in monthly Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) Meetings to monitor the youth’s individualized plan of care.

Actively participate in monthly Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) Meetings. Monthly MDT meetings are held on the last Wednesday of each month from 12:00pm-3:00pm.

Weekly Staffing
|
Participate in weekly staffings personnel regarding youth’s weekly progress in the program.
|
Actively participate in weekly Staffings. Meetings are held in person and are held each Wednesday of the month from 12:00pm-3:00pm.
|
Crisis Intervention
|
Provided consult to the program in the event of a youth in crisis.
|
Be accessible and responsive to the program via phone (within 15 minutes) of notification of crisis. Make recommendations based on clinical impressions.
