Job description
We're working with a well-established outpatient behavioral health organization on Long Island, NY that is seeking an experienced MD or Psychiatrist for an immediate locum assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for a provider who has experience treating individuals with substance use disorders and is comfortable managing Methadone as part of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT).
Job Responsibilities
Provide medication management for patients receiving substance use treatment
Prescribe and manage Methadone as part of MAT services
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team to ensure quality patient care
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in treatment planning
Qualifications
Active New York State medical license
Current DEA registration
Required: Previous experience prescribing and managing Methadone in an outpatient treatment program
Strong commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based care
Working Hours
OR
Monday-Wednesday: 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
Thursday: 9:00 AM-7:00 PM
