TinkBird Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Adult Psychiatrist with a clinical focus in Addiction Medicine to join an expanding behavioral health program in eastern North Carolina. This position offers a strong mix of clinical care, academic involvement, and multidisciplinary collaboration within a growing behavioral health service line.

Call: Phone-only call coverage with residents taking first call

Clinical Responsibilities
Inpatient Services
Behavioral health consult services
Addiction medicine management within hospital setting
Collaboration with multidisciplinary behavioral health teams
Outpatient Services
Addiction treatment and medication management
Substance use disorder care coordination
Integrated behavioral health clinic coverage
This role supports a large regional behavioral health network serving a multi-county population across eastern North Carolina.

Expanding addiction medicine services
Academic teaching environment
Supervision of psychiatry and addiction medicine residents
Teaching opportunities with medical students
Multidisciplinary behavioral health department
Planned future medical office expansion with dedicated addiction treatment space

Candidate Requirements
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
Completion of Psychiatry, Medicine-Psychiatry, or Family Medicine-Psychiatry residency
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Addiction Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine
Eligible for North Carolina medical licensure
Federal prescriptive authority including ability to prescribe buprenorphine
Eligible for hospital privileges
