The Inpatient Psychiatrist:

• Directs patients to the next appropriate service and tracks their progress
• Ensures that all hospital behavioral health patients receive appropriate evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, medical screening and medical/psychiatric evaluation whenever indicated, and that all medical/psychiatric care is appropriately documented in the medical record
• Sees around 20 patients per day and rotates calls with everyone on staff
• Completes other tasks as necessary
