This behavioral health hospital is expanding their services by opening a third acute adult psychiatric unit. The facility provides comprehensive mental health services with strong support staff including RNs, technicians, therapists, and administrative leadership. The hospital maintains high standards of care with dedicated treatment teams and modern psychiatric facilities.
Opportunity:
Physician (MD) - Psychiatry
Job Details:
• Provide psychiatric care for acute adult inpatient unit with 12-14 patient encounters per shift
• Work Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM schedule with 30-minute lunch break
• Manage 24-bed department with average daily census starting at 12 patients
• Handle average length of stay of 10 days with comprehensive treatment planning
• Participate in daily treatment meetings with multidisciplinary team members
• Treat psychiatric diagnoses (not dual diagnosis cases)
• Required clinical expertise in anxiety disorders, affective disorders, ADD/ADHD, personality disorders, developmental disorders, and psychotic disorders
• Experience with involuntary commitments, seclusion therapy, and restraint application required
• Utilize pharmacotherapy and group therapy treatment techniques
• Board certification required with BLS certification
• Must hold active Massachusetts medical license
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 21 days
