The facility features a 25-bed department with comprehensive treatment options including inpatient, partial hospitalization programs, and outpatient services in a supportive clinical environment.
Opportunity:
Physician (MD) - Psychiatry - Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
Job Details:
• Primary service is Child/Adolescent PHP (Partial Hospitalization Program) Monday-Friday daytime, 36 hours (8am-4pm Mon, 8am-3pm Tues-Fri) • Option to work 36 hours or add 4 hours Outpatient for 40-hour week • Visits include 30-minute medication checks or discharges, 60-minute step downs, and 90-minute new evaluations • Patient age range: Outpatient (5-23 years) and PHP (7-18 years) • Approximately 15 days of the assignment covering the Inpatient Unit (10 beds) for vacation coverage with no PHP/OP work on those days • Handle 10-13 patient encounters per shift • Must have Pennsylvania license and recent experience treating children • Experience with psychiatric medication management including controlled substances for child psychiatric patients required • Must have completed Adult Psychiatry residency training and Child psychiatry fellowship training • Board certification required with current BLS certification • Clinical expertise required in anxiety disorders, affective disorders, ADD/ADHD, personality disorders, eating disorders, development disorders, psychotic disorders, and organic disorders • Must be familiar with involuntary commitments, seclusion therapy, and restraint application • Treatment techniques include pharmacotherapy, group therapy, family therapy, and ECT • Credentialing timeframe approximately 60-90 days • Option for unpaid lunch break with no overtime without real-time approval by the CMO
