Annashae Healthcare is partnering with a Springfield IL facility to fill an existing need for a Psychiatric Medical Director. This position is 80% administrative - 20 % patient care, as needed. Offering real work-life balance and very competitive compensation.
Duties include but are not limited to.
- Assign and reviews work.
- Provides guidance and training to assigned staff.
- Counsels staff regarding work performance.
- Reassigns staff to meet day-to-day operating needs.
- Establishes annual goals and objectives.
- Adjusts first level grievances.
- Effectively recommends and imposes discipline, up to and Including discharge.
- Prepares and signs performance evaluations.
- Determines and recommends staffing needs.
Qualifications
· Current unrestricted Illinois license
· Specialty: Primary Care, Rehabilitation Medicine, FM, IM, Surgery, or other specialty as approved by the facility.
· Board certified /Board eligible in specialty/field.
· Current unrestricted Illinois Controlled Substance certificate, Current DEA certificate
· Mantoux skin test prior to starting work or documentation of negative Mantoux within the last 90 days.
· Experience working with psychiatric/mental health patients.
· Malpractice is state indemnified.
· Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
