This medical center is a well-established healthcare provider in the region, featuring a dedicated inpatient adult psychiatry unit and partial hospitalization program. The facility is equipped with modern technology including Epic EMR system and offers a collaborative environment with comprehensive support staff.
Opportunity: BLS-Adult Psychiatry
This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) position for a psychiatrist to serve the inpatient adult psychiatry unit with potential to round once weekly in the adult partial hospitalization program depending on inpatient census.
Job Details:
- Provide daily rounds on the adult psychiatry unit
- Attend daily multi-disciplinary team meetings
- Communicate with patients' families and natural support systems
- Provide psychiatric consultations on inpatient units
- Complete required documentation
- Flexible schedule with one week on/one week off or two weeks on/two weeks off based on availability
- On-call responsibilities include one or two evenings during the week and one weekend per month
- Work with a supportive team including registered nurses, mental health techs, occupational therapists, social workers, and other psychiatrists
- Office conveniently located on the unit
- Position aims to help increase adult census
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
