Opportunity for a Psychiatrist to provide low-barrier access of all members while closely collaborating with emergency services, and other healthcare care providers to provide the management of complex psychiatric patients in a community mental health clinic setting.


About the position:

  • Provide direct outpatient psychiatric services
  • Complete comprehensive evaluations, diagnosis, treatment planning, counseling, and psychopharmacological treatment
  • Interdisciplinary team
  • Conduct team clinical rounds, critical patient risk review, teaching of clinical interns and psychiatric residents, and participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Provide ongoing, periodic supervision to psychiatric nurse practitioners
  • Coverage is typically managed via telephone, rare in-person coverage may be required. Alternative or weekend schedule options are available for onsite medical coverage
  • UMass affiliation

Requirements for hire:

Must have current licensure as a physician in the State of Massachusetts, current licensures with the DEA and State of Massachusetts for controlled substances (Buprenorphine licensure mandatory), and current eligibility or certification with the Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
