Location: Salisbury, Maryland. Less than 2 hours to Washington DC, Philadelphia and Baltimore; just 30 minutes to Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Salisbury is the largest city in Maryland and it has a handful of things to keep tourists entertained. Salisbury Zoo houses a variety of native wildlife to explore and the Pemberton Historical Park features forest areas, wetlands, freshwater ponds, and hiking trails. Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art is a major attraction in the city. The museum displays a wide collection of antique and decorative decoys. The city has art galleries, golf courses, and breweries, and is known for its traditional arts, music festivals, and incredible local foods.

Opportunity: Medical Director- Inpatient Psychiatry
* Full time, employed position
* Core hours between 8am - 6pm, Monday through Friday. Quality of life decisions and flexibility in hours are encouraged
* HPSA Score: 17; Medical School Loans up to $150K over 4 years, visa waivers, sponsorship, and loan forgiveness.
* Daily Case Load 5-6 Inpatients and 1-2 consults. Licensed13 bed inpatient, adult and adolescent populations
Duties to Include:
* Serve as attending psychiatrist at for patients admitted to the inpatient behavioral health unit (BHU);
* Lead rounds and provide supervisory direction to the team regarding treatment planning including, but not
limited to, medication management, length of stay challenges, conversion of legal status, disposition, and
transfer of patients to other hospitals and facilities;
* Complete all initial assessments, discharge assessments, involuntary and voluntary paperwork, and
consults of significant complexity including capacity evaluations;
* Perform comprehensive psychiatry consults on patients in the Emergency Department and
medical-surgical floors as requested;
* Complete psychiatry consults within 24-hours of request, and the same day if ordered by 12 pm;
* Present BHU cases during involuntary court hearings and medication panel meetings as needed
* Perform leadership duties of Medical Director of Psychiatry, including assisting with all quality and
performance initiatives in support of the integrity of the BHU and representing psychiatry at all Hospital
meetings
Compensation: Total Income $386,000 a year plus benefits. Base salary of $280,000 with Medical Director Stipend of $50,000, Medical School Loans(tax free) $30,000 and $26,000 for call coverage. Comprehensive benefits available
