Location: Just 15 minutes from Springfield and less than 2 hours from Boston, Holyoke, Massachusetts is a historic city located on the banks of the Connecticut River in western Massachusetts. Known as "The Paper City," Holyoke played a significant role in the paper industry during the industrial revolution. The city's industrial heritage is evident in its canals, mills, and the Holyoke Dam. Today, Holyoke embraces its cultural diversity and vibrant community life. The city offers a mix of historical landmarks, recreational activities like Mount Tom, and cultural events such as the Holyoke St. Patrick's Day Parade, making it a fascinating place to explore and live.

Facility: A brand new, state of the art 150-bed freestanding facility feature 120 semi-private rooms and 30 private rooms for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Mental Health. The new hospital will increase patient access to Baystate Health’s specialty inpatient behavioral healthcare for adults, including geriatric patients, as well as adolescents and children, by more than 50%. This hospital is being built to meet the community’s increased need for specialized behavioral health services and to address the dire shortage of beds in the region. A limited number of patients (primarily from the state) will begin being admitted in August and the facility will be fully open in October.

Opportunity: Multiple needs for Psychiatrists in brand new Behavioral Health Hospital including Child and Adolescent, General, Geriatric, and Forensic.

* 16 positions available
* Mostly chronic and persistently mentally ill
* State of MA patients - all ages. Providers have choice of patient population seen.
* Prior experience in hospital based psychiatric practice or outpatient psychiatric practice preferred
* Current unencumbered medical doctor (MD) or doctor of osteopathy (DO) licensure in the state of Massachusetts; Current DEA license required.

Compensation: $300-350k base salary with bonuses available and excellent benefits package offered. Tuition Reimbursement Plan available.
