St Luke’s Children’s Center for Neurobehavioral Medicine in Boise seeks a BC/BE Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist/Medical Director to join our incredibly capable and fun team currently comprised of four board certified child & adolescent psychiatrists, two clinical psychologists, and six onsite therapists. This position will consist of .25 fte medical directorship duties as well as .75 fte practicing psychiatrist, for a total of 1.0 fte. We have four full time RNs, a full time MA and a Care Coordinator, as well as five full time administrative support staff. Clinic hours are 8 to 5, Monday through Friday. Physicians currently have 4 days per week in clinic and one administrative day. As the medical director, the physician will work in a close partnership with administration to positively impact the entire St. Luke’s Health System. This role encompasses leading providers in a specialty, focusing on clinical outcomes, supporting operational performance, and collaborating with provider leaders in other specialties across the health system. Clinical psychiatry is 90% and 10% Medical Director duties. We have a co-management model where we co-manage patients with primary and specialty care. The physicians see patients for 6.5 hours per day and help our community based primary care providers manage their patient population. We schedule 90 minutes for a new patient consult and our follow up appointments are 30 minutes long. Our providers share patients and continuously consult and provide updates on the patient’s progress or any concerns with one another. We also have an onsite Partial Hospitalization Program and an Intensive Outpatient Program. We are advocates of integrated mental and behavioral health with therapy support integrated into primary and specialty care. The Children’s Mental Health team is part of a broader team that includes Developmental Pediatrics and Neuro and Behavioral Psychology.
