Job Details

• Coverage Dates:

  • November 23–27, 2026

  • November 30–December 4, 2026

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

• Setting: On-site, inpatient rehabilitation only

• Weekend Coverage: Not required

• Patient Population: 100% adult rehabilitation

• Patient Volume: Approximately 10–20 patients on the unit per day

• EMR: Cerner

• Trauma Level: Level III

• Facility Resources: 24-hour laboratory and anesthesia departments

Responsibilities

• Conduct inpatient rehabilitation rounds and consultations.

• Provide face-to-face patient care.

• Evaluate patients face-to-face within 24 hours of admission.

• Attend prescheduled interdisciplinary team conferences:

  • Monday at 8:30 AM

  • Wednesday at 8:30 AM

  • Friday at 11:00 AM

• Provide inpatient rehabilitation coverage only; outpatient clinic coverage is not required.

Required Documentation and Procedures

• Pre-admission screening review and documentation in accordance with CMS guidelines

• Prescribing narcotics

• Discharge summaries and medication reconciliation

• Weekly care plan documentation

• Post-admission evaluations

• Face-to-face visits

• IPOCS

• PAPE/H&P

Requirements

• Board Certification: Board-certified

• Specialty: Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R)

• License: Active Michigan license required

• Certification: BLS required

• Candidate Restrictions: Local candidates only
